Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After  finishing working in 2016, it's not that easy to give up on a career that has spanned nearly 40 years, and for as long as I can remember, I have felt a calling to work in Africa.

Via a link from a British charity called Physio Net, which ships used physio equipment overseas, this is where my knowledge of the Kyaninga Child Development Centre first began.

So, in early 2018, I'm off to Uganda! I'm excited but nervous to be making this journey, and hope that I will be useful to the Centre and also the children I will be seeing. I know it will be a cultural challenge but also rewarding too.

I've paid in full for the entire trip, so you can be sure all your money is going straight to the people who need it most.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

Kyaninga CDC Trust raises funds to help children with disabilities living in extreme poverty in western Uganda. We train and support local community health workers to provide rehabilitation, health care, health education and essential mobility equipment to help children gain essential skills, independence and to reach their true potential.
