This year I am raising funds to provide scholarships for kids to attend Y Academy.  Y Academy is a new program we created to support families through the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Y provides safe all-day care for kids so parents can continue to work in the midst of school shut-downs.  Y Academy is open 6:30am-6:00pm and provides a safe space for kids to do their virtual learning with Y staff supervision as well as being able to engage in fun and games with other kids.  We also provide Before and After School Services to those kids who are still able to attend in person at their schools. Breakfast and lunch is provided through a partnership with District One Schools to help combat food insecurities families may have during this year.   

60% of families enrolled in Y programs rely on scholarship funds.  Since March, we have awarded $19,650 in childcare scholarships. 

Please consider giving a gift that would allow more families to take advantage of scholarships for the Y Academy & our Before and After School Care. A gift of any amount would go towards subsidizing a child's care...a $25 scholarship would help a family who may be struggling with bills or medical expenses. A gift of $125 would sponsor a Y Academy student for one week.
