In November 2015 I am to take part in The Great Ethiopian Run in Addis Ababa. OK so I am walking the 10k, which will be hard enough due to the high altitude. 

I will also have the opportunity to visit the Fistula Hospital in Addis Ababa, where they operate on very young women who have had awful problems in childbirth, due to their need for a Ceasarian and this not being available to them.

 I've been supporting the Hamlin Fistula Hospital  for many years, here are more details of the brilliant work they do in helping these young girls, some only in their early teens: http://www.hamlinfistulauk.org/. 

Now I have been chosen as one of twelve people to each raise £2,500 by November 2015. However I would like to raise £3,000 as this would be the cost of 10 operations. I am paying my own travel costs. So all this money will help girls who have not been as lucky as I was with the birth of my four children, and they with theirs! Four girls a day are operated on here!

Please help me to raise this money and to get fitter so I don't shame myself.
