We are the UK’s eating disorder charity to end pain and suffering

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am fundraising for beat as, this October, I will be heading off on a 170 mile walk around The Lake District to write a new play about mental health, bulimia and anxiety.

This show is being created in collaboration with The Bike Shed Theatre in Exeter, where I will be researching and developing the piece after my 10 day trek, and where I will be showing a scratch performance of Pilgrims on 27th November before performing two work in progress performances at the From Devon, With Love festival in January and hightailing it up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018.

The show is an ode to family, childhood and mental health. A personal multimedia performance which mixes theatre with comedy and new writing with clown. Influenced by the walk itself and my journey along the way; expect recordings of cassette tapes from 1991, video footage of me singing We Are The Champions with my Dad on top of a mountain aged 10, find out why Hey Jude would be the first on my list of Desert Island Discs, and the day I finally forgave my Mother for leaving me. This, and so much more besides.
