Story
Having watched Fran Mahoney, single-handedly start and run Wild Survivors with the support of a fantastic board of trustees, I could not be more motivated and proud to attempt this double climb in Tanzania amongst the elephants that we are trying to save and the local people that we are trying to empower.
Your kind donations will be split 50/50 to Wild Survivors and to the PAMS Foundation. The Twin Peak Challenge is in honour of Wayne Lotter, who was co-founder of PAMS. PAMS are at the for front of leading anti-poaching programmes in Tanzania. Wayne helped to turn around the elephant poaching crisis. It was with great sadness that Wayne was killed by an international ivory network last August. So to walk in his memory close to a year on from his death will be an honour.
So, how do i feel about this challenge... I am a bucket list kind of person, so to complete this challenge on a personal front will be absolutely mind blowing! 2 things I am not so confident with....1) Being in deep water 2) heights...
So on that note they say...
'The best things in life are often waiting for you at the exit ramp of your comfort zone'
In my case, at the top of Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro!
Your kind support and donations would be so greatly received!
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
Maisha Marefu!
