Story

On Saturday, we (Chris Leech and Benedict Adam) will be once again undertake a 100+ mile challenge involving a bike, two days, lots of hills and very little preparation.

Fresh (almost three years later) from completing the South Downs Way in two days, We will be undertaking the little known Shoreham to Buster Hill to Alton to Guilford to Shoreham route, again in two days, this time in aid of Rocking Horse.

Having spent far less training time in the saddle than the previous challenge, we have seen fit to try and cycle even further…

The route is as follows:

Day 1 - 58 miles

South Downs Way from River Adur (just outside Shoreham) to Butser Hill – about 40 miles
Then from Butser Hill to Alton, Hampshire – about 18 miles

Overnight at the Crown Inn, Alton

Day 2 - 55 miles

Alton to Guildford along the Pilgrims’ Way – about 20 miles
Then from Guildford back to Shoreham on the Downs Link – about 35 miles

Rocking Horse are an amazing local charity so if you can spare a few pounds that will help motivate us when our legs inevitably fail us (about 2 hours in).
