Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and welcome back those who've been here before.
For the last 5 years I have been setting myself charity challenges to raise money for Katharine House, Great Ormond Street and Mind. This year I am back on the bike.
I am going to be attempting to complete the Land's End to John o'Groats trail in 5 days, solo, over the Easter Weekend, starting Good Friday, ending the following Tuesday, all being well!
The ‘End to End’ has been an iconic cycling challenge since before the Tour de France was even a glint in Henri Desgrange’s eye.
This is going to be the toughest challenge yet, and I'm hoping to raise a mere £1 a mile for each of the 874 miles in this pain fest.
I will be following up with updates along the way!
Some stats for the ride!
- 53,918 feet worth of elevation
- 874 scenic miles
- Approximately 50,000 calories burned
- Estimating 2L of chamois cream
- 10 hours per day in the saddle
