We are honored to support St. Jude's Children Research Hospital by trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp.

St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Everything they do is centered on finding cures and saving children, and because of supporters like you, families never receive a bill!  That is something that is so incredible and that is why we have chosen to support St. Jude's on our trek. 

Over two weeks we will trek up to 9 hours a day, take on the altitude, deep gorges, suspension bridges and glacial lakes, and finally stand in the shadows of the world's highest mountain (8,848m)

Beginning in Lukla, we will follow the footsteps made famous by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay to Everest Base Camp. The trek slowly winds through the forests of Khumbu, traversing gorges and rivers, and through quaint Sherpa villages. The peaks grow taller with each bend in the trail, and the goal becomes clearer – Everest shadowing each every step. The higher we go, the harder the trek becomes, pushing us and our bodies to the limit.

However, the incredible views and more importantly knowing that we are raising money for St. Jude's and support from all of you will take our mind off the mental and physical challenges we're about to face. 

Arriving into Everest Base Camp is sure to be joyous occasion and one we will be able to saviour with new friends (and some old friends from previous treks -Inca Trail and Kilimanjaro) we make thanks to Classic Tours. 

Upon our descent, we will then spend time exploring the chaotic, exotic and historic Kathmandu. 

This high altitude trek is not for the faint of heart and not without risk - but we are in good hands with our guides and trek doctor.
