Story
In 2015 my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer and over the last three years has undergone 3 courses of 4 cycles of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, then 7 operations - iliostomy, a bowel resection, two liver metastasectomies, two lung metastasectomies and a thyroidectomy.
If you ask Mum how she feels ?
She answers Lucky
1. For still being here
2. For having support of her family and friends throughout these times.
She has however met lots of people who would face this challenge alone if it was not for Macmillan’s unbelievable support at every stage of the battle.
Macmillan offer help to ensure that people do not have to face cancer alone. Please support Macmillan by raising awareness and sponsoring me to complete Ironman Wales.
