Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of our grandfather/great grandfather, Sgt Owen Valentine Burns, in WW1 we are riding from the war memorial in Birkenhead, his home town, to his war grave in France.
We are also remembering our father,/grandfather Flt Lt Owen Valentine Burns who experienced dementia before he died recently just short of his 100th birthday.
In addition we ride to remember all those experiencing dementia and those caring for them. The money raised will help them maintain and create memories....
Through the Rotary Club of Louth we are supporting the Alzheimers Society, Dementia Cafe Louth other charities supported by Louth Rotary Club,, and the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust which does so much to honour the memory of "The Few".
Memories do matter....
