Running 100km - First Ultra Marathon

Dulux Race to the King 2022 · 11 June 2022 to 12 June 2022 ·
Running has been an incredible lifeline when struggling with my own mental health and I wanted to challenge myself physically and mentally with something huge! And it would be a wasted opportunity not to try and raise a few quid for a fantastic cause whilst I'm at it!
I was sold on doing a 100km ultra marathon when someone explained that I could eat over 6000 calories in sweets/chocolate/cake/crisps in one day and still lose weight! #winning!
Looking at about 15 hours....ish on my feet, I know there will be moments when I'm pushed to question my life decisions, especially as the expected chaffing kicks in (if you know, you know! ouch!).
Knowing that I'm raising money for an amazing charity, the Mental Health Foundation, and, hopefully, helping others with their mental health, will absolutely give me the kick up the backside I need to keep moving my feet toward the finish line.....that and the thought of smashing a greasy cheeseburger wrapped in a large Dominos meat feast!
Times are hard financially so I'd be incredibly grateful for any donations if you can spare a few quid. If not, then please feel free to donate a bag of skittles/M&Ms (peanut...no others compare) or general sugary goodness to help fuel me around the course! Vaseline also very welcome :D
Thanks in advance!
