We're running to help keep even more families near their sick children in hospital.

Story

Anthony completed his mission for running 1000km to raise money for Ronal McDonald House in Liverpool. His target was to reach £1000, and we are still overwhelmed by the support of friend, family and others that helped him to absolutely smash this goal, and raise £2477.00!

He has now been offered a place at the London Marathon, this time is target is even higher. We need to get him to £2500 by October. It's going to be tough, but with the help of family, friends and followers along the way, I'm sure he will smash it!

Anthony thought he had missed out on this years London Marathon 2nd Oct 2022, and so booked himself in for the York Marathon 16th Oct 2022.

He was delighted to hear he had a charity place with Ronald Mcdonald House, but soon realised he would be doing two marathon in two weeks. Surely that's worth some sponsors?

Thank you to everyone who has donated and showed your support so far!!

Why is he doing this? We had the privilege of living at the Ronald McDonald house in Liverpool for a week when Annie was at Alder Hey being treated for her heart defect.

Ronald Mcdonald provides free accommodation for parents of children being treated at Alder Hey. It costs them £25 per room per day to run. The charity relies solely on donations. We want to make sure that if any other parent or carer is in the same position as we were, that they would also be able to benefit from this wonderful charity.

Our story - Little Annie was born with a heart defect in which part of the aorta was narrower than usual. At 8 days old, Annie went into surgery and the magical doctors fixed her. Annie is now 6, and you would never know she had any problems with her heart. She may need further surgery in the future, but for now, she is the strongest little rascal and we are so thankful.  Annie was 5 days old when she was taken to Alder Hey, and we had no idea that just around the corner was a lovely little home that would take us in. We were given our own room and bathroom, use of a kitchen and laundry room and many other rooms to make you feel at home. This was a very scary time for 2 very new parents and we couldn't have imagined not being close to Annie whilst she was in hospital.

Thank you, Joanna and Anthony x
