Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

I suffered a hemorrhagic stroke  in December 2019. It affected my left side. and severely impacted my strength and stamina. During the last 18 months, with the support of my family, friends and the Stroke Association, I have focused on rebuilding what I lost. I have been very very lucky and have almost fully recovered. So I am hoping to raise funds for the Stroke Association to help others who suffer from a stroke and in particular to raise funds for research into Stroke. I had always hoped to be able to cycle Lands End to John O Groats prior to my stroke, so I decided to make that my recovery goal. It is a massive 22 day challenge, but it will be worth it if I can raise funds and keep moving forwards personally in the process. Thankyou for your support.  Anthony
