Story

At some point in our lives we will all hear of someone's life being affected by the big C. To be honest, I didn't expect it to be so close to home.

Last year, my dad (the silver haired badger) was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer and thanks to the amazing and committed staff at St Barts he is now on the road to recovery.

This year I was lucky enough to gain a ballot place in the London Marathon and thought it would be a great opportunity to raise some cash for the fantastic work that St Barts do and the support that they give to families.

I'm fundraising for Barts Charity to support the incredible work, dedicated staff and wonderful patients of the hospitals of Barts Health NHS Trust: St Bartholomew's, The Royal London, Mile End, Whipps Cross and Newham. Your donation will fund state-of-the-art equipment, innovative healthcare projects and ground-breaking research. Thank you for joining me to transform the lives of patients in our hospitals, our communities, across the UK and around the world. Together, we can make extraordinary healthcare happen.
