Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On behalf of my family, I will be running in the Edinburgh Marathon on the 27th of May 2012. I am running in memory of my dad, Bobby, who passed away after a short fight against cancer at the beginning of February 2012.
Dad was an unassuming quiet man, but he did touch alot of people. None more so than those that met him during his last few months, as many people who knew him told us. He demonstrated a strength and dignity that defied his slight frame.
As a child he inspired me to explore the mountains. When I was 12 he took me up Ben Nevis to do my first Munro on a bright scorching July day in 1982 . He took me out into the wilderness of Highlands for my first wild camp and gave me a love of the outdoors which has never left me.
I've posted a few of my photos of the wild, high places. He told me he wished he had discoverd them earlier in his life.
We as a family want to offer our support for the people that support others. Thats why we are fund raising for Macmillian. His friends and family have already raised £440 but we want to build on that generosity; so please take a look around my page and consider donating.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Macmillian and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
