We fund research and provide support to anyone affected by breast cancer.

Story

Crazily I have decided to run my first competitive race at the age of 53. I am doing this for Breast Cancer Now. I want survival from this disease to continue to improve.

We all have someone in our lives who has or had Breast cancer.

My mum had breast cancer over 7 years ago and luckily survived and has fully recovered.  My oldest friend's mum died in her 30's from breast cancer. A real tragedy to lose your mum as a teenager. More recently 5 close friends, who are my age,  have been diagnosed with this disease. Luckily again, they too are doing well. This is a really common disease. I am a GP and I see many patients with breast cancer.  I hope that  treatments can continue to  improve with more clinical trials funded by charities, such as Breast Cancer Now, and  consequently more women and men can survive from this disease.
