Great North Run 2021 · 12 September 2021 ·

The Great North Run is a hugely important event in the fundraising calendar for Alice House Hospice; in 2019 the amazing team of runners raised over £38,000 and since 2007 runners have raised over £336,500 - now that's impressive!

Story

I've decided to run the Great North Run this year to support Alice House Hospice. Alice House Hospice was founded in 1980 by local mum of four, Alice Bendle. Following a routine hospital operation doctors told her that she might die. The experience left her passionate about making sure that anybody facing a life-limiting illness would never be alone or in pain again. Her hard work and determination, and that of those involved over the past four decades, means that today we have access to hospice care 365 days a year. This costs money and you can read more about this is in the third edition of our supporter magazine at www.alicehousehospice.co.uk/home/hospice-magazine/ We are priveliged to have a great team of staff and volunteers and we couldn't do this without YOUR support too! Thank You!
