Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune condition in which there is an increased tendency for the blood to clot. The condition can cause strokes, heart attacks, pulmonary emboli and DVTs. In pregnancy, APS is a leading cause of recurrent miscarriage and stillbirth.

Story

After overcoming a life threatening pulmonary embolism and being diagnosed with Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) in February 2024 at the age of 24, Anu made it his mission to overcome the physical limitations that this condition imposes. After his diagnosis, doctors advised Anu to avoid any physical exertion, but he was not the kind to sit still.

He actively hiked the highlands of Scotland and did walking expeditions, including walking from Edinburgh to Glasgow and London to Canterbury.

Now, he brings together two of his favorite things, walking and Scotland, to bring awareness to APS and raise money for APS Support UK.

Support Anu in walking the 21-mile Mighty Stride at the Kiltwalk this September in Edinburgh. Cheers and Glory to Christ!
