From July 9th to July 11th I will be undertaking the Coast to Coast cycle challenge in aid of the John Lewis Partnership Corporate charity of the year, Alzheimer's Society.

This challenge involves cycling 140 miles in three days from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Tynemouth, North Shields. Covering all terrain, through the fells of the Lake District, up and over the North Pennines, along the River Tyne into Newcastle and out to our final finish point on the east coast at Tynemouth.

There will be 24 of us taking part and we hope to raise £20,000 to help Alzheimer's provide essential services out in our local communities. The money we raise will help run memory clinics such as memory walks and memory music classes to help people suffering from dementia.

Every penny we raise (Apart from the Justgiving admin fee) will go directly to Alzheimer's Society.
