Story

Can I learn to swim 2 miles in 140 days?

On the 18th September 2021 I will swim the 2 mile challenge at the Swim Serpentine event in London, UK. My current swimming ability is just about 25 metres with a mix of doggy paddle and laying on my back kicking wildly. I have never had a swimming lesson, no idea about technique, currently topping the scales at the heaviest I have ever been and overall the most unfit in my life!

I have found a swimming coach, committed to a training plan which includes lake/river ice cold swims and cannot wait to get this done.

I am raising money for Born to soon who were incredible when my daughter Daisy was born in 2015 and continue to do amazing things everyday for so many new borns and families. When Daisy was born they prepared us for the worse but with the help of Born to Soon she is now a healthy, gorgeous, loving and amazing young lady xxx

In running events you can walk, in cycling events you can free wheel, in swimming - If you stop you sink!
