Story

The Oesophageal Cancer Fund is a charity that has done great things for those affected by such an awful disease.

In 2008, I lost my Nanny, and best friend, Mary, and late last year, my Dad also lost a great friend, Mick, to oesophageal cancer. He was the lead vocalist and songwriter in their blues band, with a great stage presence. Both were taken far too soon, and I will be running in memory of how brilliant, kind, and full of life they were.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, OCF's annual Lollipop Day fundraiser cannot take place due to safety restrictions. However, fundraising can still take place virtually. Over the course of the month of April I will be running 100km, and aiming to raise money for OCF. Any bit of virtual loose change would be deeply appreciated, a little lolly goes a long way!
