On September the 12th I will be running the Brighton Marathon in order to raise money for the RSPCA. Last year alone more than 102,900 animals were rescued and collected by this amazing charity. They are the first to introduce a law to protect animals and work hard to ensure that all animals can live free from pain and suffering. Through their campaigns they raise standards of care, and awareness of issues, affecting animals today.

I have found training particularly difficult this year as I tend to always train during the Winter months. Us Irish don't tend to see a lot of sun so I have had to adapt quickly to running miles in the heat. What has got me through is the thought of helping the animals of the UK.

The RSPCA relay on the publics support to help push for change in the law to improve the welfare of animals. Myself and all our furry friends out there would be forever grateful if you are able to donate what you can. I will bethinking of them as I push on to the 26th mile.
