Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I had applied to run the London Marathon over a number of years and just my luck, I get a ballot spot when I have not ran in a long time. It has always been on my bucket list and I wanted to show the kids that anything is possible if you put your mind to it (no pun intended).

My running history is not great:

  • 2 x 10km for Run for Moore and Cancer Research in 2007/2008.
  • Half marathon for CLIC Sargent in 2013.

After reminding myself of the above runs, I am even thinking what am I bloody doing! I am really nervous as I felt the half marathon was a nightmare and hope my knees can handle it.

So why Mind? Well I have not been the best when it comes to looking after my own mental health and it has been the biggest challenge I have faced. In my experience, my biggest enemy has always been myself so to help a charity that leads on mental health issues will really fill me with pride.
