Story

UPDATE: I reached my original challenge in just over 3 weeks, revised goal for the month was 50km swimming. Completed on 14 September 🏊🏼‍♂️👏

Around 3 years ago I wanted to learn to ride a bike but as an above knee amputee of 30 years I just didn’t know how to start, or what to expect.

LimbPower helped me, in the back garden of their CEO, to get on a bike again. It was one of the happiest days of my life and I now ride my bike most weeks - and have now even learnt how not to fall off! As an amputee, traveling again at speed under my own power is amazing. I am forever thankful to LimbPower.

I’m taking part in their Virtual Challenge Series, the first section is Distance. I intend to swim the distance of the English Channel, rounded up to 34km over a month. The challenge will last from 15  August - 15 September. The swimming will be a mix of pool swimming and open water swimming.
