In May, I’ll be running the Edinburgh Half Marathon to raise money for MS Society Scotland alongside some of my chums.

The MS Society Scotland is Scotland's largest charity for people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). More than 130,000 people in the UK have MS. In the UK people are most likely to find out they have MS in their thirties, forties and fifties. But the first signs of MS often start years earlier. Many people notice their first symptoms years before they get their diagnosis. With MS affecting almost three times as many women as men.The charity play a leading role in MS research and last year they launched 11 research projects, including an investigation into the causes of nerve damage in progressive MS. Funding for this charity primarily goes towards researching the disease, mainly for expensive MRI scanning, but also helps supports those living with MS.
