Aphrodite is 10 years old

To celebrate this great occasion we are planning a variety of missions to raise money for a very worthy local charity.

Aphrodite will be having “Magnificent March” where we will attempt fundraising events at all three salons including:

• Salon Event Days: including Facials, Waxing, Eye Treatments, Pedicures, Hand Treatments, Shellac & Elemis/Environ Skin Scans. (See calendar in salon or on our facebook page for dates)

• 24hr Cyclothon: with the aim to reach Brussels. Including lots of team activities throughout the night.

• 10 Mile Walk: starting at Aphrodite Wimborne heading on to Aphrodite Moordown and finishing at Aphrodite Westbourne.

• Team Fancy Dress days

• Face Painting

• Client Competitions

• Treatment Auction

• Cake Sales

• Raffle

To top it all off  Nicola will take on the huge challenge of climbing to Everest Base Camp. In 2012, Nicola climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and raised just under £5,400 for Youth Cancer Trust. This time we hope to raise £6k for Dorset Mind.  

Please note Aphrodite will be paying for all travel costs and expenses, meaning all your sponsorship money will be going directly to Dorset Mind.

Independent charity Dorset Mind, established in 1946, helps people to cope with their mental health problems and to rebuild their lives. Mental health problems can affect anyone: around one in four people will suffer from some form of mental health problem during their lifetime.

The reason we have chose this charity is that it supports lots of our clients, friends and family who have these challenges within their everyday life plus promotes mental well being. Hopefully we will improve awareness and more importantly be able to fund a support group for a whole year. This is why we have set ourselves a target of £6k.

Aphrodite greeted its first clients at our Westbourne salon in 2005. Since then we have also opened Aphrodite Moordown in 2010 and launched Aphrodite mobile in 2012 followed by Aphrodite Wimborne in 2013.
