Story

hanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As a result of the catastrophic Cyclone Idai in March this year, in Rusitu Valley - Copper Growth Point - Chipinge, Manicaland Province - Zimbabwe, more than 200 people lost their lives, more than 500 are still missing, a whole police camp and more than 100 houses for civil servants and Agricultural and Rural Authority workers lie buried beneath a bed of huge white boulders, sand and mud. A whole  community (Kopa-Copper) has been destroyed, including three schools. The damage is incalculable. I visited the area during the Easter holidays and came face to face with this real tragedy. The whole area is a disaster zone and we want to help in the vital role of rebuilding the remaining communities in the area, which were badly hit by the  cyclone and which are now struggling to come to terms with what has happened. We would like to raise money to send at least one 40ft container full of text books and educational resources, health equipment, clothes etc to the three schools and the clinic in the Risutu Valley.  Please help us to help them rebuild their lives!
