At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

My nan passed away after living with this disease for many many years in September 2017.  Far too many families are affected by Alzheimer's. It's a soul destroying illness for the person affected and their families and friends. More needs to be done.

My Nan taught me to crochet before her dementia took over. We want to put our crochet skills to good use and ask for the help of the community and further to help us crochet lots of apples. These apples will be placed on a tree in Essex on 2nd September. We will then ask people to pop along and take an apple and in return donate money to Alzheimer's Society, helping us raise vital funds for this wonderful charity.

A fun and happy charity/community project.
