Story

My best friend Ryan has suffered progressive sight loss due to a brain condition called Chiari malformation where the lower part of the brain pushes down into the spinal canal. As a result he has had to undergo numerous and ongoing surgeries in the hope to maintain the minimal vision he has, yet he strives to educate and help others suffering from sight loss.

I want to raise money to help towards the charity who have supported Ryan throughout his journey. Every donation will help KAB continue on with the work they do in the community. If you want to read more about Ryan’s journey this article was written and details his journey to date: https://theisleofthanetnews.com/2021/03/09/broadstairs-man-ryan-day-on-a-mission-to-change-perceptions-of-sight-loss/?fbclid=IwAR1SuoyfF1yM_63ZnNnlbSm2JC1KNseeMxhN_nUcDgk5dSR7w474N38xMzQ

KAB supports sight impaired people to live independent lives. They work with over 12,500 people with a sight impairment in Kent and the surrounding areas. 2020 was KAB’s centenary year. Due to last year’s restrictions this milestone will be celebrated this year.

Thanks for giving, me and Ryan really appreciate. If you want to see me run it I’ll be in Margate on 15th August 😀
