From a purpose built centre in Oxon, we specialise in providing riding to private individuals, from all ages and a wide spectrum of disabilities. We provide as many riders as possible with the opportunity to ride to benefit their health and well being, and to support the achievement of their goals.

Story

The Abingdon RDA Group was founded in 1975 and dispenses a unique therapy to over 130 children and adults, whose ages range from 2 to 70. They all enjoy the experience of riding, driving or vaulting with opportunities to join in social activities, competitions or go on National holidays all of which combine to bring a new dimension to restricted lives, encourage independence, give confidence and generally improve the well being of each individual.

The Abingdon group relies on over 120 volunteers and 12 ponies, who regularly give up their time and energy to ensure that the Group provides 1586 rides, drives and vaulting sessions each year.

The Group caters for many diverse disabilities, including learning difficulties, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy and a variety of syndromes.
