We have been training hard over the Winter months and we will be running the Wokingham Half Marathon on Sunday 26th February and the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd April to raise funds for the Starfish Swimming Club.

Starfish support young people with learning difficulties, including Autism and Down's Syndrome, to first learn to swim and then to move to on to competition in galas organised by the likes of the Special Olympics movement. Many of our members will have struggled to learn to swim in a mainstream group swimming lesson so Starfish help to encourage them into the water, give support to the children and parents to help them learn to swim and then they progress on.
