General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.

This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly, as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support. Here at Aston Rowant CC, we want to make a difference to The Ruth Strauss Foundation by running ‘ARCC Virtual Fest 2020’.

The Ruth Strauss Foundation's aim is to provide emotional, psychological and wellbeing support to patients and their families when a cancer cannot be cured, as well as raising funds for research into rare forms of non-smoking lung cancers. Every pound we raise through ‘ARCC Virtual Fest 2020’ will make a real difference, so if you are feeling super generous and would like to submit an extra donation (in addition to half of your event ticket), it would be hugely appreciated by both the charity and Aston Rowant CC!
