Enduroman Arch2Arc · 9 August 2016

Our aim is to enable children and adults suffering developmental and co-ordination difficulties, brain injury, spinal damage or long-term neurological disorders to participate in physical exercise and rehabilitation programmes.

Story

I have registered for the Enduroman Arch2Arc Triathlon for August 2016. This even starts under Marble Arch in London from where I will run to Dover (87Miles), swim the English channel (21Miles) followed by a bikeride to Arc de Triomphe in Paris (181Miles). As I have participated in many ultra-distance triathlons before (single, double and triple Ironman-distance races) this will be my last race before I settle down (hopefully).

I'm doing this challenge to raise money for the CLEAR Unit at Oxford Brookes, a cause close to my heart as I have seen how effective the Unit has been in improving the lives of people with a range of neurological conditions including Parkinson's, Huntington's, MS, stroke and cerebral palsy to name a few.  It also puts on regular sessions for children with movement disorders to help them to be physically active.

Thank you for your donations, small or big! Every penny makes a difference as

"Every penny counts and every pound makes a difference to somebody with a neurological disorder and physical disability."
