Riflemen from D Company, 8 Rifles are virtually tabbing the distance from Durham to Pegasus Bridge in France (573 Miles), with a 40Kg bergen to raise money for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal. 

Pegasus Bridge is a battle honour of The Rifles regiment, with the 2nd Battalion the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry's success in Operation Deadstick (part of the wider Operation Tonga)
