Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Archie Dettmer is just 6 years old but already knows the work that goes on at Thorpe Hall because his mummy, Fern works there. Archie is a regular visiter to Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice and is aware of how poorly people are who are cared for by the Hospice.

Archie takes an active interest in what his mummy does and often wants to know what has happened during her day at work.

Archie will be walking the 5K to remember the loved ones of his parents, in particular the great grandparents he never got to meet. Archie is also walking to remember and honour all of the patients that his mummy has looked after at Thorpe Hall Hospice.
