Arctic Survival Challenge 29 Jan - 5 Feb 2023 · 29 January 2023 to 5 February 2023 ·
This year I turn 50 and so I am having a year of challenges - please support me by supporting the Royal British Legion. Help inspire me!
It's going to be a big 12 months:
My first road marathon in Manchester early April!
75k Ultra - my first ultra too, round Windermere in May!
Dalby Inferno: 10 laps of trail 5k, on the hour, every hour, round Dalby in June!
The Drop - blindfolded, miles from home, no map, no electronics, find my way back!
Another Ultra - 50k over Kinder in September!
8 days in the Arctic in January - sleeping out on the ice, building our own shelters, true survival challenge!
It's going to be tough! Keeping going, staying injury free, completing them all, but I'm determined to do it.
Why? Partly because I'm turning 50....
Partly because 5 years ago I was challenged to do 22 press ups a day to raise awareness for the number of ex-servicemen and women who commit suicide every day it’s a shocking statistic.
It was also the start of a personal journey to get fit I’ve turned in to a runner, I’ve done a number of challenges, and they’ve always been for me, so I thought it was fitting that I do something as a bigger challenge, and this time raise funds for the Royal British Legion at the same time.
The RBL care for the whole family of those affected by the impact of service life. They help to ensure the highest quality of care for those suffering physical and mental issues and help families that need time to reconnect. Your donation will mean the legion can ensure the best quality rehabilitation and support for all.
So, all the money raised goes to the RBL - its a great cause, and everything you give will inspire me too!
Thanks for reading, and thanks for your support
