Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
John floated the idea that he would like to cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats. He was taken aback when so many of us were interested in taking part. We are now part of a self supported group of 9 riders and a 2 member support team for this iconic challenge.
The route has been planned to stay off the main roads as much as possible and to take in Dunnet and Duncansby Heads with an additional rendezvous at the start around Lizard Point. All in all we expect to cycle 1,696kms with 15,510 meters of ascent over 14 days.
This ride is huge for us and we have been encouraged by family and friends to make a difference by using the opportunity to fund raise. We've chosen Catalyst to support as we would like to support the good work they do in Surrey offering access to support for drug and alcohol users who want to change their lives, reducing the harm to themselves, their families and communities and for their wellbeing and mental health work.
We particularly like that Catalyst offer access to counselling for people struggling with substance use issues and that this support is also available to friends and family through Reach Out Counselling.
