After running the Half Marathon on September 19th, Becca and Laura are going for it again!  This time Becca will run the Marathon (26 miles) and Laura the Metric Marathon (26 km) on October 3rd.

Sadly, child poverty is on the increase. There are 9000 children in the Chester and North Wales area living in or born into poverty. Having a baby is so exciting for most of us, but not every family is lucky enough to afford the essentials when bringing a new life into the world adding so much worry and anxiety to what should be a really happy time. KidsBank Chester helps by providing basic equipment to families who are struggling to cope or facing a crisis.

They collect excellent quality and new items for children who really need them. Toys, bedding, sterilisers, prams, bedroom decor, clothes; all items that some families struggle to afford. It’s not just babies either, KidsBank recently collected school uniforms and PE equipment for children in the area starting back after the summer break.

We ran 13 miles/ 21 km on Sunday 19th September and smashed our target for this outstanding charity.  Becca completed it in 1h 55 min and Laura in 2h 14 mins, let's keep going and see how much we can raise!
