Story
In May, I will be running a half marathon in memory of my dad, Adam who passed away suddenly in November 2020.
Going through this experience as well as losing Mo a few years earlier, I understand the hardships of not only going through the grieving process, but actually dealing with the aftermath of the loss from an emotional and practical point of view which is why I will be running for The Good Grief Trust.
The Good Grief Trust aims to raise awareness of issues around bereavement and try to change the way we deal with this taboo subject in the UK, ensure acknowledgment of the potentially severe effects of grief and encourage us all to talk about it more openly and help with the process.
With the money raised from this run, The Good Grief Trust can continue to help and support those grieving who requires support and help them navigate through traumatic life experiences.
I would appreciate any donation as all funding is vital to keep small charities able to offer assistance during difficult times. I know times are tough, but every penny makes a difference.
