Story
James Wood and I entered the 2013 Mongol Rally, during which we drove across France, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, and into Mongolia.
On completion of the rally, we continued to the East, through Russia to Vladivostok, where we got the trike shipped to Vancouver. Our route took us down the coast of the USA, to California, Texas, Florida and finally South Carolina, where we shipped the trike back home again.
On our journey we met all sorts of friendly and interesting people, many of whom were more than happy to donate to our charity.
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Its volunteer lifeboat crews rescue an average of 23 people every day and RNLI lifeguards provide a seasonal lifeguard service on selected beaches. The RNLI is independent from Government and relies on donations from people like you.
This circumnavigation was completely funded privately by us, and any donation you make through JUSTGIVING goes straight to the RNLI.
So, if you have family who work, or even spend leisure time on the sea, remember that the RNLI is an independent charity, funded by voluntary donations. They could not save lives at sea without your support.
