Story

My Name5 Doddie Foundation was established in November 2017 by Doddie Weir and close friends and supporters.Doddie was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in December 2016 and is committed to help find a cure for MND and support fellow sufferers. The ARRAN BELLES became involved in January 2021 during which we cycled over 2000 miles in support of the Doddie Aid Event. What made it even more poignant was that our friend and fellow Belle, Sue B. was diagnosed with MND in late 2020.  Also Sarah's (another Belle) sister Alison is suffering from this cruel illness.  As a result the ARRAN BELLES felt compelled to remain involved. We are taking part in this fund raising cycle and have another event planned for next year. The Foundation has raised more than £7 million in three years and already committed £4.5 million to research projects and in grants to support patients. We would be so grateful for any contribution to help fight this heartbreaking illness.
