Children and adults with Down’s syndrome are all unique individuals with their own personalities, family backgrounds and preferences that make them who they are. We aim to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.

LATEST EVENT:

On the 21st March 2018 we'll be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day!

We'll be taking part in a number of events as a family and encouraging as many schools and businesses as possible to get involved, simply by wearing odd socks and sharing why they're involved. We'd love you to join us.

If you feel you're able to make a donation to the work of the Down's Syndrome Association in the UK we'd be so grateful. The DSA help families like us when there is no other help available, and it's largely dependent on donations.

ABOUT ARRAN LUCA

On September 6th 2012 our wonderful baby boy, Arran Luca was born. He brought a surprise with him. Arran has Down's Syndrome.

Having no idea what this really meant for Arran and the rest of the family, we set about researching as much as possible while we came to terms with his diagnosis. The Down's Syndrome Association were a big part of us understanding what Down's Syndrome is and have been an unflinching supporter of us and many, many families across the UK and beyond.

Their work is truly amazing and we are very grateful to them for the support they have given us as a family.

Arran is 4 years old and starting school this September. Like all families, the lead up to finding the right school for Arran has been a bit of a challenge and a worrying time. It's made harder because of the fight that parents of children with disabilities have to get additional funding in place for their education. The DSA is an enormous support for families such as ours.
