40 million people are currently enslaved across the globe. This is three times more than during the transatlantic slave trade. This fact blew my mind! I could not get my head around this number, nor the fact that this reality remains hidden to many in the West. Where are the abolitionists? Where is the international outrage at such an atrocity?

International Justice Mission are a charity fighting to end violence against people living in poverty. They rescue and restore victims, bring slavers to justice, and strengthen justice systems to stop the cycle of violence. Already, IJM have helped free over 50,000 people from slavery.

I am completing 40 pieces of artwork to raise money for IJM because, while our lives may have ground to a halt due to Covid-19, violence against the vulnerable continues. By giving generously, you can partner with this charity to bring freedom to people who go unprotected by the law.
