This is an online art auction to raise funds for our local hospice. 

If you live in Exeter, Mid or East Devon, Hospiscare is your local adult hospice charity. Should you or a loved one need care for any type of terminal illness, their professional team of doctors and nurses are there to help. Their services are provided irrespective of race, religion, age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, diagnosis or place of national origin.

Hospiscare are an amazing charity and they care for people that have been given a terminal diagnosis. This charity provides a vital service and cares for the people who need it whilst giving amazing support to their families. They do a fantastic job and we need to support them as much as we can during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hospiscare need around £8m a year to keep delivering care to over 2,500 patients.  Only £20% of their funding comes from the government and the other 80% comes from fundraising events, legacies, charity shops and donations.

Hospiscare have had to cancel many events and close their shops so the lost revenue is really going to hit them hard. They have estimated a loss of £1m over the next few months and we really want to do what we can to help them from home.

So while we are all in lockdown, what better time to get out your paintbrushes, pencils, pens, knitting needles or whatever you use to get creative!  We are looking for artists and creative types to donate their work to our online art auction and have people bid on them to raise money.

All items will go into an album and be shared on the page for people to comment with their bids. Once the auction finishes, the last comment with the highest bid wins the item and makes payment via this JustGiving page so that all money goes directly to Hospiscare!
