Art Collage Fundraiser For Disabled People In Ukraine

Art Collage Fundraiser in support of Ukraine · 21 March 2022
There are no words to describe the devastating events that are happening in Ukraine. The situation is tragic, innocent people are faced with fear for their life's. My heart goes out to everyone who is affected by the war in Ukraine and I hope that they find peace. I have decided to fundraise for the disabled people in Ukraine through the UK charity 'Stepping Forward' who are supporting disabled people (see end of story). I am going to run an art collage competition while I raise funds at the same time.
I am a collage artist which means that I create pictures entirely out of little pieces of tissue paper- there can be hundreds depending on the size of the picture. It is a very long process and a lot of hard work. Recently, I created a mini collage of the Ukraine flag to show my support and now I am going to run a competition with it so here is what you neesd to do:
1. Look at the collage closely and guess how many pieces of tissue paper that it took to create the Ukraine Flag collage- Please e-mail berniehunterart@hotmail.com with your name and answer
2. Donate to the cause, however small or big.... every penny counts
And you could be in with a chance of winning your very own art collage- designed and personalised especially for you
Thanks so much for supporting disabled people in Ukraine, the funds will make a big difference!
'Fight for Right is working around the clock to evacuate Ukrainians with disabilities and support those who have evacuated to nearby countries following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. For people with disabilities who face barriers and inaccessibility at all times, war brings an additional, overwhelming feeling of fear and helplessness; not to mention a direct threat to their lives. Ukrainians with disabilities have far fewer options for evacuation. We are fighting for every life. Please support our efforts. All donations directly support evacuations and the provision of resources to Ukrainians with disabilities.' From the Fight for Right website.Fight for Right Chairperson Yuliia Sachuk said: Right now, people with disabilities are the most affected group by the war in Ukraine. There are disabled people trapped, there are disabled people dying; we have been left behind.
