Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Arthur Sach is, like any other car loving 2 and a half year old boy, full of energy and character. Unfortunately on 20th September 2022 our world fell apart when Arthur was diagnosed with Mature B Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) a very rare and aggressive cancer. Arthur had tumours throughout his chest and abdomen including his liver, lungs, spleen, kidneys and bowel. Since then Arthur has been through rigorous chemotherapy and has undergone numerous blood transfusions, platelet transfusions and has had two serious infections in his bowel. Now about to start his 6th round of chemotherapy, Arthur is continuing to battle on with this horrible disease. Arthur has been an absolute soldier throughout his treatment and never fails to smile every day. He has been, and continues to be, a hero and an inspiration to his family and friends.

Whilst all of this has been taking place Young Lives vs Cancer (YLVC) have been a beacon of light to our family. Initially in Addenbrookes Hospital and now at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, YLVC have been a lifeline to us. They have continued to provide a friendly face and a listening ear, as well as financial support and even a place to stay in the form of Billy's house. See here for more information:

www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk/what-we-do/a-free-place-to-stay/billys-house-nottingham/

Billy's house has been a home from home for us and has meant that at the end of a long day in hospital we have a safe and welcoming place to stay. I'm not sure we could have got through these last few months without the support of Young Lives vs Cancer.

We hope that you can support Mark, Suzanne and Sophie in any way possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Arthur's proud parents Nick and Lucy Sach xx
