Story

I am taking part in the London Marathon on 13th July,   to run 10K. I would appreciate it if you can sponsor me.

Many people suffering with Cancer, MS, Muscular Dystrophy and other terminal or life-limiting illnesses tell them that how much Skanda Vale Hospice has helped them to cope. They provide a lifeline of social, practical, emotional and spiritual support, completely free of charge.

The monks and sisters want to help MORE people, for LONGER – so this September they will begin building a brand new, state of the art respite and end-of-life unit, to run alongside their existing day care unit.

These new services will enable them to provide highly attentive holistic care from the point of diagnosis until the patient’s final moments. Their services will be delivered in a peaceful homely environment, with expert palliative nursing and all the necessary resources to hand. By sponsoring me you support their work to help more people experience the dignity, care and love that they need during the most traumatic period of their lives.

Every single penny raised will help develop this new in-patient care unit , you personally can contribute to the development of the new unit by supporting me through the Sponsored run on 13 July 2014.
