NSPCC Arundel Castle Abseil · 15 March 2020 ·

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Gary Markwell is the West Sussex County Councillor for Arundel & Courtwick.

The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. The NSPCC helps children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.

On the 15th March 2020, as part of our celebrations marking 60 years of the NSPCC fundraising in Sussex, I will be abseiling 180ft down the Bakehouse Tower of Arundel castle to raise money for the  ‘Speak out. Stay safe’ programme to reach primary school children in Sussex, giving them the knowledge to protect themselves from abuse.

For every £250 raised, 63 children will be reached by the ‘Speak out. Stay safe’ programme.
