Coronavirus is spreading among the worlds poorest communities. Time is running out to help them. Please support our urgent appeal by praying and giving whatever you can.

Story

As a family we find Coronavirus stressful and heartbreaking but we know that we are very fortunate to have a house, a garden, local wild spaces, supportive friends and family, clean water, healthy food and to live in a country that has more resources and capabilities than others to respond to Covid-19.

We (Tricia, Chris, Caitriona & Charlie) are going to use our daily exercise in May to ascend the height of Everest by walking, biking, running and any other human powered method we can think of (!) up and down our local hills. Every foot of ascent that each of us makes will count towards our target of 29,029ft which is the height of Everest. This is to fundraise for those affected by coronavirus in some of the poorest communities across the world. In the  UK, we have all seen how devastating the coronavirus can be. But for people living in extreme poverty, the impact is far worse.

Tearfund's local church partners are already on the frontline, providing crucial hygiene and sanitation assistance. Every £12 we raise could provide 4 families with sanitizing products like soap and bleaching powder for one month.

Please sponsor us today; your donation will make a huge difference to those who need it most.
