This year is the 14th year of Ascensor. 

After coming up with some ideas about how best to mark the occasion, we realised that the anniversary gift for 14 years is Ivory. This made us think about tragic plight of elephants, who are being hunted for their tusks daily, and their habitats are constantly being destroyed. In Asia, elephants are no longer in up to 85% of their historic range. The work the WWF do helps protect their habitats, reduce poaching and address human-elephant conflict.

We thought our birthday would therefore be the perfect excuse to raise awareness of these issues, helping elephants and providing you with an opportunity to win a priceless gift at the same time! 

Every £20 donation will mean you're in with the chance of winning two hospitality tickets for Leeds United, which aren't available to buy otherwise. These tickets would usually cost over £250, so you're getting a great opportunity and helping save our natural world too.

• £25 could buy a solar-powered torch which would allow locals to move around safely at night without them having to come into close proximity of the elephants.
• £100 would pay for 100 farmers to learn about how to defer elephants from crop raiding, which devastates harvesting and can also be a danger to people.
• £250 pays for a satellite collar to be fitted to an elephant, which allows WWF workers to track their movements and help reduce potential conflict between people and wildlife. Also helping protect against poaching. 
• £1,000 would help organise and run a workshop which trains communities in conflict prevention with elephants, providing them with support to find more sustainable solutions.
